Canvas of Sky is a new project from the 21-year-old Texas singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Paul Demer. The ten song concept album was born from the tension between self-reliance and surrender - sinking ships and the vast and brilliant sky. Demer blends melodic indie rock with the sensitive songwriting of the late sixties and seventies to craft a thoughtful collection of songs, simultaneously reminding listeners of both Death Cab For Cutie and James Taylor. Since releasing his debut EP, Barks of Yore, in late 2012, Demer has played over 200 concerts in venues ranging from dive bars to nursing homes.
